Karol Konkel

I am a consultant, facilitator and coach. Since 2009 I have supported corporate organisations through change, including mergers and acquisitions. I work on the development of leaders, teams and whole organisations. I am also a certified facilitator of the Leadership Development Intensive (Scherer Leadership Center), which I have already delivered in several dozen editions.

We start with a conversation about context — no obligation.

When we work together

Change always touches people — and its outcome depends on them.

Strategy, structure and processes are half of the work. The other half is whether the people who must carry the change understand it, trust one another and can decide together. That is where my work begins.

“Now I know business transitions are mainly about people. Thank you.”Marta, Director at a telecom company
  • A merger or acquisitionTwo cultures, two ways of working, uncertainty about roles. I help keep the human value of the organisation and build a shared way of working.
  • A board that needs to set directionFacilitating board work: shared priorities, understanding polarisation and moving beyond it, decisions that the whole team stands behind.
  • A team that works together every dayIntact teams: tension, a new leader, new goals, changed rules of the game. Working with the whole team at once, in its real context.
  • A leader at the edge of familiar methodsExecutive coaching and the LDI programme — for those who want to change not a technique, but the way they lead.

Karol Konkel

Consultant, facilitator and coach · organisational psychology in business practice

I have run Trenergia since 2009. I work with organisations on several levels at once: with the whole company in a change process, with boards and leadership teams, with intact teams and with individual leaders. I always start by understanding the client’s business, culture and context, and only then design an intervention.

Since 2006 I have delivered training and consulting projects for companies and organisations across Europe — as trainer, assessor, consultant and coach. I am a graduate of Organisational Psychology at the Jagiellonian University, the Psychodynamic School of Systemic Psychodynamic Coaching (Tavistock Institute, with distinction), a results-oriented coaching school (Erickson College) and The Leading Change (Scherer Leadership International), and since 2011 I have worked with the Scherer Leadership Center. I have delivered several dozen editions of the Leadership Development Intensive, both open and closed, and today I lead the programme together with teams of facilitators in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France.

Consulting and facilitation

I work where decisions and relationships meet results.

I am not a vendor of off-the-shelf training. I enter an organisation as a partner: I learn its business and culture, design the process, and run it with the people who will live with its results every day.

Change processes, mergers and acquisitions

I support organisations before, during and after integration: communication, roles, culture, retaining key people. The aim is for the human value of the company to survive the change and become its advantage.

For boards, HR, change leaders

Board facilitation

I facilitate sessions for boards and leadership teams: setting direction, shared priorities, how decisions are made and the quality of collaboration in the room. A neutral perspective that makes it possible to say what is hard to say from the inside.

For board members and directors

Intact teams

Working with a whole team that already works together every day: new goals, a new leader, tension, a change in how the team works. Tailor-made interventions based on the team’s real situations.

For team leaders and HR business partners

Working together

What it looks like in practice

Every process is different, but each one starts the same way — with understanding.

  1. Introductory conversation

We get to know the situation, the goal and the people it concerns. No obligation.

  2. Understanding the context

Business, organisational culture, the expectations of key people. Only then do I design the work.

  3. Designing the intervention

From individual sessions, through work with teams and groups, to processes engaging the whole organisation.

  4. Delivery and review

I run the process and together we check what stays in the organisation after it ends.

Leadership Development Intensive

When change in the organisation calls for change in the leader: four days to look at what really drives your leadership. This is not another course in management techniques, but a development process facilitated by certified facilitators — Agata Cielarska and me — in small groups of 6–10 people.

  • I have delivered several dozen editions — open ones, for senior and middle managers from a range of organisations, and closed ones, for corporate clients.
  • In 2019, after a year in the catalogue of development programmes, LDI became the highest-rated of the 42 programmes offered by one of the world’s largest advisory organisations.
  • Today I lead it together with teams of facilitators in Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and France.
  1. What confronts me?
  2. What am I bringing?
  3. What runs me?
  4. What calls me?
  5. What will unleash me?
